1st Round All-State Auditions & Sr. High District Honor Choir Auditions -  Only a student who is a member of his/her school's choir and whose director is an L.M.E.A. member is eligible to audition.

Date:	September 9, 2006
Place:	Southeastern La. University, Pottle Music Building Registration table is in the choir room.
Time:	Times for schools will be assigned after the registration deadline.
Fee:	$5.00 per entry Fees should be paid to the student's school.  A single school check, payable to L.M.E.A. District IX Vocal Account, must be mailed with the registration form to the chairperson by the deadline.
Deadline:	Registration form and check must be postmarked by 9/1/06.
Late Fee:	Be aware that schools will be assessed a $50.00 late fee if the postmark deadline is not met (as voted on by L.M.E.A. District IX members).  Students who are registered late will be assigned whatever times are still available.  All late entries must be received at least 5 days prior to an event.

Help Session - Choir All-State 2nd Round - Students qualifying for 2^nd round auditions are invited to a workshop focusing on the audition piece and on sight reading in preparation for this audition. They should come knowing their music.

Jr. Hi. and Sr. Hi. District Honor Choirs - Rehearsals and Concert

Jr. Hi. and Sr. High Sectional Rehearsals - Mandatory
Students must learn all music before coming to this rehearsal.

Fee:	$25.00 per participant.  (CDs of the concert performance are optional and can be purchased at the concert.) Fees should be paid to the student's school.  A single school check, payable to L.M.E.A. District IX Vocal Account, must be mailed with the registration form to the chairperson by the deadline.  Please include a list of the students' names and whether they have been selected to be in the Jr. Hi. or the Sr. Hi. Choir.
Deadline:	Fees are due IN HAND by 11/17/06.  Note:  This IS NOT a postmark deadline.  (This is an important deadline because music must be ordered and distributed to participants prior to rehearsals.)
Late Fees:	Payments received after 11/17/06 will be accessed a $50 late fee.  NO FEES WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER 11/27/06.  Any student whose fees have not been received by the late deadline will be dropped from the roster.
Rehearsal Dress:	Students who participate in District Honor Choir will follow their school dress code during rehearsals and performances.  No spaghetti straps, halter tops, sleeveless shirts, midriff-baring shirts, or skirts above the knee will be allowed.
Concert Dress:	Senior High - Concert attire of the student's school.  Women's dresses must be floor length. Junior High - Girls must be in all black.  Boys must wear black slacks, white dress shirt, and tie. Note:  No spaghetti straps, halter tops, sleeveless shirts, midriff-baring shirts, or skirts above the knee will be allowed.
